The Goldfinch Room, a cheerful yellow room on the second floor, is fully carpeted and features a queen-size, traditional oak bed. An old-fashioned transom window over the bed allows the soft summer air to flow through the room, although you are free to use the air conditioning should you choose to. The Goldfinch Room invites you to relax in comfort. The fireplace boasts one of the original 1901 mantels and an ample and comfy wing chair sits beside it, beckoning you to put your feet up, read a book, or enjoy a DVD from our library. One of our larger and best-appointed private bathrooms adjoins the room. There is a capacious two-person whirlpool bath and a separate tile shower. Afterwards, wrap yourself in our soft and luxurious bath towels. Plush robes hang in the closet and, if it weren't for the wonderful smells wafting up the stairs from our kitchen, you might never leave the room!
